Updates Regarding Covid awareness and procedures:
We ARE having camp (cue confetti). We want the kids to feel like they can relax and have fun but we also want to make sure we are giving them a safe environment to do so. Our groups are already small, however, we will be limiting the amount of groups we will have to make sure that the kids have enough space to do their art safely. Therefore, if you want to come to art camp, it is imperative that you register as soon as you know which week(s) you need. Below are a lot of the precautions we are taking. We will send it specific instructions for your week of camp later on. Accordingly, we will stay updated on CDC guidelines and reopening plans.
***To best help the efficiency of cleaning the art supplies, each child will get their own set of art supplies to use during the week (pencils, erasers, watercolors, paintbrushes, markers, etc). They will keep everything in large ziplock bags. At the end of the week, we will disinfect all the supplies to use the next week in new bags.
We will be taking the extra precautions based on CDC suggestions and guidelines. Such as:
Wash hands often with soap and water.
Take temperature upon arrival.
Stagger arrival and departure times.
Classes will include the same group each day, and the same teacher will be with that group each day.
Limit mixing of kids by staggering lunch and snack times.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.This will include doorknobs, light switches, classroom sink handles, countertops, potties, desks, and chairs.
Emphasize to the kids to cover cough and sneezes.
Teachers will wear masks. Child masks are encouraged but not mandatory.
Distancing as much as we can within their groups.
Play breaks that do not have require close proximity or touching.
Require sick children and staff to stay home.
Communicate to staff the importance of being vigilant for symptoms and staying in touch with me if or when they start to feel sick.
Establish procedures to ensure children and staff who come to camp or become sick while at camp are sent home as soon as possible.
Keep sick children and staff separate from well children and staff until they can be sent home.
Sick staff members should not return to work until they have met the criteria to discontinue home isolation.

Have access to all of the materials that are on the "home" page of the website.
Create several art pieces based their own ideas and interests. This could be in the form of mixed media, collage, sculputre, etc.
Create several art works using paper with different mediums (painting, charcoal, oil pastel, sculpture, recyclables, etc)
Have the option to create at least one clay piece using hand-techniques.
Daily games, group art, simulations, and much more!
Creative Minds will assist students to develop and refine ideas for their art. They will not simply be making art; your child will be involved in divergent, critical thinking to achieve a goal - using creative art processes to create their pieces. They will be the thinkers and doers behind their projects, which will coinside with the week's theme. They will also create according to their interests (sports, family, vacations, pets, hero's, hobbies, flowers, animals, bugs, trucks, unicorns, etc.)

What Is The Deadline For Signing Up For Camp?
The deadline for signing up for any of the camp sessions is the day of camp. However, space is limited and it is highly recommended that you do not wait until the week of camp to register.
***A non-refundable deposit is required when you register for camp. After a deposit is made, you may choose to make payments when you can. On most occasions, the remaining balance should be paid no later than a week before your camp.
How Do I Sign Up?
We have made signing up for camps easy and convenient. Please click on the button that says "Register for Camp". You will be directed to a secure website where you will register your child(ren), log-in, choose your camp(s), and check out. Our check-out system is safe and secure. You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover (credit or debit). We also accept electronic checks. If you wish to pay with Cash, Credit/Debit cards, or checks in person, you may do this as well.
What is the cost for a week of camp?
The cost of camps differs for Fall, Spring and Summer Break. The price includes all art supplies and materials. There are no registration fees. We offer a 10% discount for siblings. The discount is automatically applied when you register two or more siblings.
How Many Kids Are In Each Camp Session?
Each camp enrollment stops at 16 students. Our teacher-to-student ratio is 8:1.
Can I enroll my child(ren) in more than one camp?
As long as there are spots available, you may enroll your child(ren) in as many camps as you would like. Each camp theme is different and every week will have different projects, games, and activities.
Siblings are eligible for a 10% discount on our school-year classes and camps. For example, if you enroll one child in summer camp, any other additionally children signed up after them will receive 10% of their enrollment. Same for our weekly classes.
This discount is autmotically applied when you enroll.
We give $15 per referral. Here's how it works:
-Sign up for a camp.
-Tell your friends about our camps
-Your friends sign up and include your name as the referral
-We put $15 towards your camp or give you a refund if you are paid in full.
**There is no limit on the amount of referrals you may have.
Multiple Camps (Summer Only):
You want to do more than one camp? Awesome! We would like to give you a discount for each addtional camp your child participates in. Enter promo code "twocamps" and you will receive a $15 discount for each camp you add for a single camper. Sibling discount will still apply.
What Is Your Drop Off And Pick Up Policy?
Please see the individual camp pages regarding the appropriate pick up and drop off policy. We do offer early or late pick up for an additional fee.
What Happens If The Week Of Camp I Want To Sign Up For Is Full?
If your week is booked, you can join the wait list by email or over the phone. There is no cost to join a wait list, and no obligation to sign up once you're on it. If you have questions about a particular wait list or your odds of getting to the top of it, please send us an email.
What Happens If I'm On A Wait List And A Space Opens Up?
If space opens up and you're next on the list, we'll send an email letting you know. You'll have two business days to sign up for that week or class. If you don't sign up, we'll email the next family on the list to offer them the spot.
We Won't Be Able To Attend A Full Week Of Camp, Is That OK?
It's absolutely OK, but not something we recommend. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to unfold over five days, with each day building on the one before it, so missing a day means missing an important piece of that nifty process. If no full weeks camp fits into your schedule, it's totally fine to sign up and plan to miss days—we can't, however, prorate the cost of your camp week.
How Do I Cancel My Enrollment? Will I Receive A Refund?
Changing your schedule is no problem. All you have to do is give us a call. See our refund policy below.
In the event that you need to cancel your registration, refunds will be granted minus the $50 deposit.
QUESTIONS ABOUT MY CAMPER
What Does My Child Need To Bring?
Dress to Mess: Campers should wear casual clothing that can get dirty and comfortable shoes for indoor activities.
The only sustenance your camper needs is a peanut free lunch and a water bottle if they are staying all day. We provide a snack in the morning and afternoon.
How Do You Deal With Serious Allergies At Camp?
We take allergies very seriously. As part of the sign-up process, you'll complete a detailed health history form with any information we should know about your camper's allergies. Before camp begins, please contact us to talk through any concerns or specific instructions you may have.
Does Creative Minds Serve Children With Special Needs?
Our camps aren't specifically designed to accommodate special needs, but that doesn't mean that we won't do what we can so that they can have a great experience. To help decide if our camps are right for you, please give us a call. We also welcome camper aides, but require all aides who attend camp to complete a background check before camp begins. Background checks can take a while so please make sure you keep that in mind when choosing your camp.
What if my child gets sick and can't come to camp?
Please stay home from class if you and/or your child (ren) experience any of the following: fever, vomiting, an unexplained rash, diarrhea, conjunctivitis (pink eye), persistent and frequent cough that interferes with your child’s class involvement, mouth sores (especially in the case of oral-staged children), or any other contagious illness.
In the event that you child is sick, you will be prorated the days he/she missed camp. A doctors note is needed for this prorated refund of tuition.

How Will I Know What My Camper Is Up To All Week?
We make it easy. We will be updating the Blog on the Creative Minds' website regarding daily camp activities. You will be able to see pictures and read about what happened at camp that day/week. You can also check our Instagram/Facebook page for pictures during camp.
What If My Camper Loses Something At Camp?
We have a place for that. Every camp has a lost and found, kept in a designated spot throughout the summer. If you think an item of yours was left behind at camp, check with your Camp Director and chances are, we'll find it. Unfortunately, we are unable to store lost and found items once camp is over, so don't wait to start your search—we will donate any unclaimed items on the final day of camp at each location.
What if my child has a friend visiting?
Due to some class sizes, make-ups and space considerations, we cannot permit any unscheduled child's guests. Please call or email regarding guests and if space is available, we can charge a prorated amount for that days tuition.
