How Do I Sign Up?

We have made signing up for classes and camps easy and convenient.  Please click on the button that says "Click here to register".  You will be directed to a website where you can register your child(ren), choose your camp(s), and check out.  Our check-out system is safe and secure.  You can pay online with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover (credit or debit).  We accept AMEX by person at the studio.  We also accept electronic checks.  If you wish to pay with Cash, Credit/Debit cards, or checks in person, you may do this as well.  

 

How does class enrollment work?

The school-year curriculum at Creative Minds is 36 classes during the school year.  When you enroll, you will be enrolled for the year unless you decide to cancel.  You may also enroll after the first session.  However, we suggest enrolling at the beginning of a session because we may be in the middle of projects.  We would love to have you regardless. Therefore, if that doesn't fit your schedule, enroll when you can. If we have an open space, we will accomodate you.  

 

You pay monthly if you are enrolled in that month.  The payments are $85 per month.  This includes all art supplies, instruction, and free studio time.  There is no registration fee or supply fee.  Your payment will be prorated if you choose to sign up after the first class of the month.  The easiest way to pay is to set up an auto-draft, so you don't have to worry about remembering each month. You can choose to use a debit/credit card or an online bank draft.  You may also bring in your choice of payment in by the first of the month.  We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and/or checks.  All returned checks will have a $35 fee.  

 

What fees are involved for classes?

A monthly fee of $85 is due at the beginning of every month if you are enrolled.  These fees can be automatically withdrawn from your chosen method of payment if you wish to do so.  Otherwise, payment is due on the 1st of every month.  If you enroll mid-month, your amount due for that month will be prorated.  If you cancel mid-month, you will not receive a refund.  

 

Do you offer discounts for siblings?

Siblings are be eligible for a 10% discount on school-year classes and summer camps.  For example, if you enroll one child in summer camp, any other additionally children signed up after them will receive 10% of their enrollment.  Same for our weekly classes.  

 

This discount is autmotically applied when you enroll.  

 

My child isn't artistic; can they still take classes?

Yes, all children ages 3-18 are welcome at Creative Minds Art Studios. You don't need to be the next Picasso to be part of the fun. Please see the class page for specifics about our curriculum.  

 

Can parents stay during the classes?

We encourage artistic independence in all our students, so we invite you to use the time to run errands or relax in the lobby area.

How Many Kids Are In Each weekly Class?

Ratios per class:  8:1 - Ages 3-5, 10:1 - Ages 6-8, 12:1 - Ages 9 and up.  This is to ensure that students have access to the teacher for guidance and instruction.  This also ensures that materials will be available when needed.  

 

What Happens If The Class I Want To Sign Up For Is Full?

If the class that you are wanting to enroll in is full, you may still sign up.  If a space opens and you are next in line, you will receive an email.  You will need to enroll within 48 hours, or enrollment will open for the next person in line.

 

How Many Kids Are In Each Summer Camp?

Like our classes, we have one teacher for every 8 students.  Most of the camps have 3-4 groups, divided by age, with a teacher for each group.  If siblings or friends are different ages and would like to be together, we can definitely accomodate that.  Just shoot us an email.  **See Summer camp page for more FAQ's specifically regarding our summer camps**

 

Are supplies included in the tuition price?
Yes, all supplies are included in tuition prices.  

 

What should my child wear to class?

We always provide aprons for all of our participants. Although all of our art supplies are washable, we know that sometimes art stains may be a little hard to remove.  So, it would be best to wear something that isn't so fashionable...just some good ole art clothes.  Maybe you could have an art class outfit?? 

 

What happens during bad weather?

If Collierville Schools decides to close, we will be closed.  

 

The Session has already started, and I've missed some classes. Can we still sign up?

Yes!  If there are spaces available, you can sign up at any time.  If it is in the middle of the month, that month will be prorated.  

 

What dates are you closed for weekly classes (2019/2020 school year)?  

Halloween (October 31st)

Thanksgiving (November 25th-27th)

Christmas Break (December 24th-25th)

New Years Even and New Years (Dec 31st and Jan. 1st)

**This does not apply to camps.  

 

My child is sick. There is bad weather, or we just can't make it to class.  Are there makes up classes?

Parents will be responsible for asking the teacher to come during another class time during the week to make up any lessons missed.  We do not give credit for classes missed.
