Month-Long Pottery Wheel Classes
8 Sessions: Tuesdays & Thursdays in October 2026
6:45pm-8:45pm
$350 - Beginner - Ages 18+
Over the course of this month-long class, you, along with a small group, will be taught how to take clay right out of the bag and turn it into a cup, vase, or bowl on the pottery wheel. We'll begin by learning how to prepare the clay and then get it centered on the pottery wheel so that you can make your own pots. Much of the classtime will be spent at the wheel practicing the skills we learn. It sounds simple, but pottery is a craft that is both fun and challenging. Come with a patient mindset - plan for it to take several sessions until you become more comfortable making pottery. This is a beginner class which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45pm-8:45pm.
This class is limited to only 6 participants due to the number of pottery wheels and space in the studio.
Warning: pottery can be very addictive… plan to come and never want to leave again. (Wink wink)
-
Make sure you have short nails for this class! Long nails just do not mix well with pottery, especially for beginners!
-
Come prepared to get muddy - pottery is not a clean art form. However, clay and clay-related materials will wash out of clothing and other fabrics.

Handbuilding with Clay
Date: TBD
5:00pm - 8:00pm
$125 - Beginner - Ages 18+
Come join in on the fun of creating your own pottery! We will guide you through using slabs to cut, form, slip, score, & glaze (paint) pottery by hand. In this class, you will make a serving platter, add texture (if desired), and decorate it the way you want to. If time allows, we will make more than one piece - and you can choose what else you want to make. After class, we will dry your pottery and fire your pieces in the kiln so that when you come back to pick them up, they are completely finished and ready to be used in your kitchen. (Fired pottery will be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.) Bring a friend or come alone and enjoy the centering peace of working with your hands!
